Anschutz 64 MP
Notes: This
rifle was designed for silhouette shooting at a range of 100 meters.
It has a long, heavy match barrel that makes it effective at a greater
range, particularly with a telescopic sight (no iron sights are provided).
The trigger is adjustable with a low point of 8 ounces and a high point
of 9.9 pounds. It is built in three
versions: the standard Model 64 MP, the Model 64 L-MP for left-handers, and the
Model 64 MP-Sts with a stainless steel barrel (the normal barrel is blued
steel). All are identical for game
purposes.

Anschutz 1400 Match 64
Notes: This
series dispensed with the primitive Flobert action of earlier Anschutz rifles.
The1400 Match 64 Target Rifle series uses a single-shot action, with no
magazine and equipped with match aperture sights.
The Model 1403 uses a match-grade trigger, and the stock is designed
specifically for prone shooting; it uses a low fore-end, with an adjustable
buttplate. The trigger is
adjustable. The Model 1403 Biathlon
has a plain butt with a non-adjustable buttplate, and equipment for biathlon
shooters, such as a special harness/sling and covers for the sights to keep snow
out. The Model 1403D has a
non-adjustable trigger. (Both are identical for game purposes).
The Model 1403 Rep is a magazine-fed bolt-action version.
The Model 1415
is a sporting variant of the 1400 series.
It has rounded contours as opposed to the flat contours of the Target
Rifles, and uses a much shorter barrel.
It is fed from a magazine and is a bolt-action weapon.
It has an adjustable trigger; the 1415D is similar, but has a
non-adjustable trigger. The 1416 is
also similar, but use a more finely-adjustable trigger that has a crisper pull.
Again, the 1416D is similar, but with a non-adjustable trigger.
(Both are identical to the 1415 for game purposes.) The 1418 is a version
with a full-length Mannlicher-style stock with sling swivels, as well as a
shorter barrel, and the trigger is typically non-adjustable, though some
adjustable-trigger versions were available.

Anschutz 1430
Notes: This is a
series of related rifles, all designed to fire .22 Hornet ammunition.
The Model 1430A has a plain hardwood stock with a Monte Carlo comb.
The Model 1430D had a very plain stock with without checkering,
cheekpiece, and a simple low Monte Carlo stock; the normal machined and shaped
trigger was replaced with a simple stamped metal trigger, and a folding-leaf
rear sight was used. The 1430St is
identical, but has a set trigger.
The 1431A is similar to the 1430A, but has a quality stock with a cheekpiece and
roll-over comb, and a checkered pistol grip and fore-end.
(It is identical to the 1430A for game purposes.)
Also identical to the 1430A (for game purposes) is the Model 1432A; it
has a hog’s back comb and sling swivels.
The Model 1432 Classic is also identical to the 1430A for game purposes;
it is a deluxe version of the 1432A, and could have a single trigger or a set
trigger. The Models 1432D and
1432St have rollover combs, checkering on the pistol grip and butt, sling
swivels, and folding-leaf sights or tangent-leaf sights.
The 1432D and St have 4-round magazines, but also use a heavy barrel.
The Model 1432E is a competition rifle identical for game purposes to the
1432A, but has a stock with a deep fore-end, a vertical pistol grip, a high
straight comb, and a buttplate to which spacers could be added.
It has no iron sights, but is drilled and tapped for a telescopic sight.
(The Model 1432ED is identical, but has no adjustable trigger as on the
1432E.) The Models 1432EKSt,
1432ESt, 1434D, and 1434St are basically the same as the 1432D, but have
differences in various parts of the rifle and may be considered identical to the
1432D for game purposes. The Model
1433St Luxus has a Mannlicher stock, low comb, small cheekpiece, and a short
barrel.

Anschutz 1451
Notes: This is a
simple bolt-action rimfire rifle designed for ease of use and maintenance.
There are several versions of the Model 1451; the Model 1451 Classic has
a 22.5” barrel with simple iron sights.
The KL Classic is almost identical, but has a folding leaf sight; the KV
Classic is also almost identical, but has an adjustable tangent sight.
(All three are identical for game purposes.)
The Model 1451R has a 22-inch heavy barrel; the Model 1451R Beavertail is
virtually identical to the Model 1451R, but has a different stock, is slightly
longer and heavier, and can take only 5-round magazines.
The Model 1448D Claybird is designed specifically for mini-clay pigeon
shooting; it is optimized for firing mini-shot cartridges, uses a 5-round
magazine, and has a 22.5” barrel.
The Model 1451E is a single-shot version of the Model 1451 Classic.

Anschutz 1520
Notes: This is a
basically Model 1400 Match 54 designed to fire .22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire
ammunition. Like the Model 1400
Match 54, there are several variants, most of which are identical for game
purposes. Most could be had in
adjustable trigger (A), non-adjustable trigger (D), or set trigger (St)
versions. The basic version is the
1522 Classic; 1522D and St Versions are available.
The 1524 has a hog’s back stock with a Bavarian-style cheekpiece.
The Models 1549 and 1549D are “junior rifles” for use by smaller-statured
individuals and teens; they have shorter barrels and shorter stocks.

Anschutz 1700
Notes: This is
basically an improved 1530-series with a heavy barrel and an improved action.
Versions were built that were designed for rimfire ammunition as well as
centerfire rounds. The stock of the
base 1700D and St models were of plain wood with checkering only on the pistol
grip. Variants included the Model
1700 Classic, with longer barrel, walnut stock, checkering on the pistol grip
and fore-end, and a gold-plated trigger; the Model 1700 Deluxe, with a Monte
Carlo comb and more detail work (identical to the 1700D for game purposes); the
Model 1720, the .22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire variant of the 1700 series, with a
Model 1722 deluxe model and a Model 1724 with a Bavarian stock; the 1730, firing
.22 Hornet, and with a Model 1732 deluxe model, 1734 Bavarian-stock version, and
1736 Classic pattern; and the Model 1740, firing .222 Remington and with a 1742
deluxe model, 1744 Bavarian-stocked version, and 1746 Classic pattern.
The Model 1733 is a carbine version with a stock extending to the muzzle;
the Model 1743 is the same weapon in .222 Remington caliber.

1710 Series
Notes: The Model
1710 was introduced in 1988. The
base version has a walnut stock and simple iron sights; the Model 1710D has an
adjustable trigger, but is otherwise identical.
The Model 1710 also comes in versions with a folding leaf rear sight (the
Model 1710KV), the Model 1710KV with a tangent rear sight, and a version with no
rear sight that is also drilled and tapped for a scope.
(These are all identical to the base version for game purposes).
The Model 1710D-HB has a heavy match barrel.
The Model 1712
is a variant of the Model 1710 that has no sights, but is drilled and tapped for
a scope; it has a synthetic stock instead of walnut, and the trigger is
adjustable. It was also sold in the
US in the 1990s as the Precision Arms 1700 Graphite Custom.
The Model 1717
is a version of the Model 1710 chambered to fire .17 Hornady Magnum Rimfire.
Variants of this version include the Model 1717D-HB with a heavy match
barrel; it has an adjustable trigger, and the Model 1717D-Classic is slightly
lighter due to a different grade of wood used in the stock.
The stocks are made of walnut, and none of them are equipped with iron
sights, being drilled and tapped for a scope instead.
The Model 1720
is a version of the Model 1710 designed for the .22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire
cartridge.

1800
Notes: These are
rimfire rifles designed specifically for target shooting and other such sporting
events, and are not hunting rifles.
They replaced the Model 1400 Match 64 series.
The Model 1803 is the base rifle and has a synthetic comb and a
micro-adjustable rear sight. Most
of the rifles (Models 1807, 1807D, 1808D-RT Super, 1808ED Super, 1808MS, 1810,
1810D, 1811, 1811D, and 1813) are identical to the base rifle for game purposes.
The Models 1807Z and 1809Z fire the odd 4mm Ubungsmunition cartridge.
The Model 1807 Rep is a bolt-action magazine-fed version of the 1803.
The 1827B is a biathlon rifle with special harness, snow caps for the
muzzle and sights, and is a magazine-fed bolt-action rifle with space in the
underside of the stock for 4 additional magazines.
