FAIR Event/Master

Notes: These two over-and-under shotgun lines are essentially the same weapons, with few modifications; the Event is what the shotgun was know as before 2000, and from 2000 on, it was renamed the Master. They are primarily sporting shotguns, with hunting versions not being made. The Event Trap comes in 12 and 20 gauge, with the ability to fire 2.75-inch and 3-inch shells; the 12 gauge version has barrels of 30 inches, while the 20 gauge version has barrels of 29.125 inches. They have automatic ejectors for spent shells, and a non-selective single trigger – the bottom barrel fires first, followed by the top barrel. The Event Skeet is similar, but the barrel lengths for 12 gauge models are 26 or 27.5 inches, and for 20 gauge the barrel lengths are 26.75 inches. The Event Sporting uses 12 gauge barrels of 27.5 inches, or 20 gauge barrels of 26.75 inches. The Event Sporting, unlike the other two Events, has a selective single trigger and a barrel selector/safety catch on the neck of the stock. All these shotguns have a ventilated sighting rib.

The Master Trap is only available in a 12 gauge model (with chambers able to fire 2.75 inches and 3 inches), with a barrel of 30 inches. The Master Deluxe Trap comes in both 12 and 20 gauge models, with barrels of 30 inches for the 12 gauge model and 29.125 inches for the 20 gauge model. Both these shotguns have a non-selective single trigger, and automatic ejectors for spent shells. The stock of the Master Trap has a stock of simple walnut; the Master Trap Deluxe uses a stock of select walnut. The Master Skeet is only supplied as a deluxe model; it has barrels of 26 or 27.5 inches, for 12 gauge or 20 gauge. It has a single non-selective trigger and automatic shell ejectors. The Master Sporting is also available only as a deluxe model; both the 12 and 20 gauge models have 27.5-inch barrels, automatic shell ejectors, and a selective trigger with a barrel selector/safety catch on the neck of the stock.

FAIR Imperial

Notes: This is a side-by-side double-barreled shotgun which was one of FAIR’s first designs at the company’s inception in 1971. It is made for four gauges and with 2.75" or 3" chambers (except in the case of the 28-gauge model). The shotgun has automatic ejectors for spent shells and twin triggers. The Imperial has a box lock, and in the case of the Imperial II, this box lock has side plates with intricate engravings. The Imperial has block locking with barrel lugs under the barrel block. The barrels have fixed chokes of the buyer’s choice. The stock is a straight English-style stock made of select walnut which is hand made, oiled, and polished.

FAIR Jubilee 700

Notes: Previously known by several appellations at once depending on gauge and/or version (LX-680, Mitho, SRC-620, et. al.) this line of shotguns was unified under the Jubilee 700 moniker in 2000. These shotguns have barrel block locking and are over-and-under shotguns. There are still several versions; the former LX-680 is a 12 gauge shotgun with 2.75" chambers and a 27.625-inch barrel. The former SRC-620 is a shotgun which comes in a variety of gauges and has chambers which will fit both 2.75-inch and 3-inch shells (except for the 28-gauge model, which has only a 2.75" version). It also has Interchoke interchangeable chokes.

There are also several new versions of the Jubilee 700, introduced with the name change. The new Jubilee 700 has several gauges and chambers 3" shells, except for the 12 gauge and 28 gauge weapons, which are for 2.75-inch shells only. It may be equipped with Interchoke interchangeable chokes, or the newer Technichokes. It has a chromed breech block with simple engraving. The Jubilee 700 Trap comes only in 12 or 20 gauge, with a longer 30-inch barrel (29.125 inches for the 20 gauge version) and ventilated sighting rib above the barrels. The Jubilee 700 Skeet is virtually identical, but has shorter barrels. The Jubilee 700 Sporting is also virtually the same, but comes in only one barrel length and is somewhat lighter than the other two. The breech block of those three is matte black with a gold-colored lining.

FAIR Jubilee 702

Notes: Like the Jubilee 700, the Jubilee 702 has been around long before acquiring the Jubilee name; the 12 gauge model was previously known as the SRL-702, and those of smaller gauges known as the SRC-702. There were also SRL-702 and SRC-702 Trap, Skeet, and Sporting models. These guns were all made with 2.75-inch chambers, with the SRL-702 having 27.5-inch barrels, the SRC-702 having 27.5 or 30-inch barrels, and the Trap, Skeet, and Sporting versions having barrels of 27.5, 29.125, or 30 inches. There is really little difference between the Jubilee 700 and Jubilee 702 except for very fancy engraved side plates for the box lock. They are blued, given a matte black finish, then given a gold lining.

The Jubilee 702 of 2000 or later is also basically technically similar to the Jubilee 700. These newer models come in a few different gauges, slightly different barrel lengths, and are somewhat lighter than their older brethren. There are also Trap, Skeet, and Sporting models. The Trap version has barrels of 30 inches for the 12 gauge model and 29.125 inches for 20 gauge version; there are no other gauges available. The Skeet version comes in 26-inch and 27.5-inch barrel versions for both gauges. The Sporting version has 27.5-inch barrels for both gauges. They all have ventilated sighting ribs above the barrels. There are two further versions of the Jubilee 702; the Prestige is a luxury version of the standard Jubilee 702, with chromed breech block and side plates. The Prestige Tartaruga Gold is even more luxurious, with a tempered breech, and side plates with intricate engravings, inlaid with gold. (These two are identical to the standard Jubilee 702 for game purposes.)
