Giuseppe is...

      More about my brother's pet:             

    Giuseppe is my brother's pet, and lives in his apartment in San     

      Antonio, Texas.  He is a frequent visitor to my house, and likes   

      to play with Anya.  He is a very sweet-natured dog, but a           

      chowhound.

    Our best guess is that Giuseppe is part Basset Hound   and part 

German Shepard.  (Who knows how that happened).  He was a stray 

that was picked up by the City Animal Control and rescued just before 

being put down, by the Animal Defense League.  My brother adopted 

him from there.  Estimates of his age widely vary due to the poor 

condition of his teeth when found; anywhere from 3-10 has been 

estimated, but his behavior suggested that he is a young dog.                                                 

Fun Facts:                                                                                                                                              

--My mother and I normally call him Jo-Jo, and I sometimes call him just  Joe, 

but my brother always calls him by his full name. He is named after  favorite opera 

singer of my brother's.                         

--The first thing Giuseppe will do when you come up to him is to roll over  so you 

can rub his belly.                                                                                                                                         

--Giuseppe normally sleeps on my brother's bed next to him.

--Giuseppe will growl at  you playfully when it gets around dinnertime.
