QLZ-87
Notes: This Chinese automatic grenade launcher is a product-improved W-87. Chief among the modifications is a longer barrel; more muzzle velocity can be developed and therefore more range is possible. Unfortunately, this means the QLZ-87 is a bit heavier than the W-87. The QLZ-87 fires the same rounds, uses the same tripod, and can use the same magazines; though a new 15-round drum is also available. (This drum will not fit in the W-87.)

W-87 AGL
Notes: This is a Chinese-built automatic grenade launcher that has enjoyed sales to undisclosed countries. The W87 is designed as a heavy support weapon at squad and platoon level, with a wooden stock, pistol grip, and a bipod. It can be used from a PMT, or from a special tripod that allows both ground and antiaircraft fire (weight 17.7kg). It can be also fired hand-held like a machinegun.
Twilight 2000 Notes: By 2000, examples of this weapon could be found in the hands of US, Canadian, and ROK forces, and as far away as Europe, Alaska, Canada, and Iran in the hands of Bloc and NATO forces.
