Bravia Pantera

Notes: This is a heavy 6x6 truck built by Portugal.  It is basically a larger version of the Leopardo, and uses the same wheelbase.  A winch with a capacity of 9.07 tons is fitted in the front bumper.  The layout is conventional, with the engine under a long hood at the front, the cab behind it, and the rear cargo bed. The cab has a removable canvas roof, and the windshield folds forward onto the hood. The cargo box has removable bows with a canvas cover over them, and fold-up bench seats are along the sideboards, with removable back-to-back benches in the center of the cargo box. Four engines are available: a Cummins 378C diesel with 140 horsepower, a Perkins V-8-510 diesel developing 170 horsepower, a Perkins V-8-540 diesel developing 180 horsepower, and a Chrysler 361-4 gasoline engine developing 200 horsepower. These are coupled with a manual transmission with 5 forward and one reverse gear.

Variants include a cargo/troop carrier, a dump truck, a tractor-trailer, a van body, and a fire engine.  The version with the 250-horsepower engine is sort of a variant, having stats different from the rest of the Panteras; it can haul 12 tons on roads and can tow 6.8 tons cross country and 13.62 tons on roads.  The 250-horsepower version may be equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
