Things I'm Working On, Future Projects (some maybe FAR in the future), and Some Ideas That I May or May Not Do...
1) Of course, there will always be the usual additions of weapons and vehicles. I like doing those.
2) Something else I am working on is a new section, "Best Vehicles That Never Were." Vehicles and aircraft that never really existed, or existed only in prototype or drawing-board form (or, in the case of something like Aurora, may actually exist, but no one can confirm it) will be moved there from the sections they are currently in.
3) I may move all pump-action rifles to their own section. Likewise, I may separate bolt-action sporting rifles and semiautomatic sporting rifles. Actually, though I've failed miserably at it, I'd like all pages to load in a minute or less when pulled up by a 56L modem; broadband penetration in the US is only 61% the last I heard, and the average broadband penetration for the entire world is only 35%.
4) The Ranks page is basically all screwed up; some ranks I have totally wrong, I have new information, and the page really needs to be separated into at least two pages, one for the Twilight 2000 timeline, and one for the real-life/Merc 2000 timeline.
5) I have at least 30 emails stored up letting me know of corrections and additions that should be made to various parts of my pages, and I get another one or two a week or so. I haven't totally forgotten you guys who are helping me; yes, such things slip my mind on a regular basis, but I do remember them eventually.
6) The various parts of the Professions section have a few mistakes and omissions; I also have some ideas for additions, as well as some more ideas from others. In addition, there are differences in some of the professions between a Twilight 2000 and a modern-day/Merc 2000 timeline; some of those professions are not available in a Twilight 2000 timeline, some are not available in a modern/Merc 2000 timeline, and some should have different mixes of skill sets in the two different settings. This is another section that might have to be split in two. Basically, it needs a whole lot of work.
9) I do have a few more ideas for some House Rules, both of my own and suggested by others.
8) Vast sections of the Twilight 2000 portions of my site have basically been neglected, and not for lack or information; I simply have forgotten about them. These include pretty much anything that isn't involved with weapons, aircraft, or vehicles. Even on the vehicle pages, the Civilian Vehicles section has been pretty neglected. I'm going to try and do something about those sections.
9) The Links section really should be put back in eventually, but now I have a lot more links to include (as well as some to take out).
10) I have a crapload of information on various weapons where I basically have little more weight, barrel length, caliber, a description, and sometimes a very small amount of other info. Not really enough to make proper entries out of them, basically. I'm thinking of putting them on the pages, but in their own section. My first idea for the name of the section was "Raw Data," but that proved to be confusing to some of the people I tried it out on. The next idea I had was "The Raw Feed," but I figured that Dennis Miller might sue me. I'm still trying to think of a name for this prospective section.
11) And of course, there is the "holy grail" of projects (for me): Remember the Alamo, a sourcebook on San Antonio during the Twilight War. I've been wanting to do this for a long time, and have even jotted down a few notes, but I'll admit, it may never happen; in other words, don't hold your breath.
12) The section on my dogs needs total re-doing; I really don't like the layout, I have two new dogs, dear Shadow has died...I'll admit, that's a big part of why I don't re-do those pages. It still hurts to think about him, let alone look at his pictures.
