Valmet Petra
Notes: This was an attempt to make a sporting rifle out of the M-76 assault rifle. The caliber was changed, along with the necessary changes to the firing mechanism, chamber, and barrel to accommodate this. The firing mechanism was also changed to semiautomatic-only, and reduced-capacity magazines were used. The Petra has a standard pistol-grip-wrist stock with a rubber recoil pad. The flash suppressor is eliminated. The finish is far better than the military rifle. In the US and Canada, this rifle is known as the Valmet Hunter.
